A Minute’s Silence Please..
Monday, February 26th, 2007I’m still not sure if I believe it.
TCAL, the ever-reliable source for Internet time-wasting is no more.
I’m gonna have to work a lot harder to find quality stuff on the net now.
Much mourning and messages of condolences continue on the announcement post.
My contribution:
I didn’t see that one coming.
To be honest, it’s the only way TCAL could have gone, and a great to way to end it.
Now they’ll have to give you the obligatory “end of career better give him an Oscar†type Blog Award.
Dancing in the Greenlight
Sunday, February 25th, 2007My entry to Caitriona’s Absolut lomo competition.
Girls dancing at a Fujiya & Miyagi gig in Crawdaddy, Dublin.
Green glass bottle in front of the flash gave it the green effect.
God Save the Queen
Saturday, February 24th, 2007There’s a lot of people not happy that God Save the Queen will be played at Croke Park today. In fact, a drunk man on the DART yesterday warned me to stay away from the match. I’m not sure if he was suggesting I boycott the match in protest, or to avoid any possible trouble over this obviously controversial match.
As suggested on the front page of today’s Irish Times, this will be a test of our maturity as a nation. I sincerely hope all the Irish fans at the match will respect the anthem and people of England, and remain quiet during the anthem.
I’m going to do one better. I’ll be singing along.
I gotta get me one of these
Friday, February 23rd, 2007More Snow Photos.. Finally
Sunday, February 18th, 2007I eventually got round to processing the rest of the photos of snowy stuff.
Few more after the jump and on Flickr
Roundwood Reservoir
Monday, February 12th, 2007First colour photo here in a while:
Uploaded now because it didn’t need any Photoshop.
Eternal Spotlight is brilliant by the way.
Lonely Tree
Monday, February 12th, 2007First of the photos from Friday.
Went out driving, looking for snowy scenes with Mum. I’ll post some more when I’m bothered to take Photoshop to them. Right now, I’m off to watch Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, which I’ve heard is good.
As an aside, I shot around 180 photos on Friday, of which I really like around 10 or 20. I’m glad I got a digital camera and not film.
RecruitIreland.com ‘Beep’ ad
Sunday, February 11th, 2007Saw this on TV a while ago, but just found it online today.
There’s also a ‘creak’ ad, but I prefer this one.
The agency is Dublin-based Chemistry, and the animation is by Head Gear of Toronto, directed by Julian Grey.
